Using Your Phone’s Menus

To change the code:

1Select the Security Code option.

2When prompted, enter the current security code. (You must enter this code before you can proceed.)

3When prompted, enter a new, six-digit code to replace the old security code.

SIM PIN

This option is used to change your SIM card’s PIN. The SIM PIN

option must be set to On to use this option. (See “SIM PIN” on page 140.)

1Select the SIM PIN option.

2When prompted, enter the Old PIN.

3When prompted to Enter New PIN, enter a new, four- to eight-digit code to replace the old PIN.

4Enter the new PIN again when the phone displays Repeat New PIN.

Caution: If you enter an incorrect SIM PIN three times in a row, your SIM card is disabled and your phone displays the message SIM Blocked. You need to enter a PIN unblocking key (PUK) code (which you can obtain from your service provider) and key sequence before you can use the phone.

To unblock your phone, enter the following key sequence:

##0 5 *SIM PUK + New PIN + New PIN +
