Using Your Phone’s Menus

Shortcut: Enter a phone number in the idle display and press

+(Store) to create an entry with the number in the No. field. Then follow the above procedure to enter additional information and store the entry on the phonebook.

Note: Phonebook entries stored on the SIM card do not have the Entry Details Voice, Group, or TurboDial. Only Name, No., and Memory can be entered.

Recording a Voice Name for a Phonebook Entry

You can record a voice name when you create a new phonebook entry or when you edit a previously stored entry. This enables you to use voice dialing to call the number.

Note: For best results, make your voice recording in a quiet location. Hold the phone about four inches (10 centimeters) from your mouth, and speak directly into the phone’s microphone in a normal tone of voice.

1When your phone displays Press Record key then say name, press + (Record). Your phone displays Say Name Now.

2Press and release + (Record) and say the entry’s name (within two seconds).

After you say the name once, your phone prompts you to

Press Record key then REPEAT name.

3Press + (Record). After the prompt Repeat Name Now, say the name in the same way as in the previous step.

If the recording was successful, the message Trained Voice Tag appears on your phone’s display.
