Using Your Phone’s Menus

Note: The New PIN must contain four to eight digits.

Caution: If this operation is performed incorrectly 10 times in a row, your SIM card will become permanently blocked.

SIM PIN2

This option is used to change SIM card’s PIN2.

1Select the SIM PIN2 option.

2When prompted, enter the Old PIN2.

3When prompted to Enter New PIN2, enter a new, four- to eight-digit code to replace the old PIN2.

Note: If you enter an incorrect SIM PIN2 twice in a row, the phone blocks SIM PIN2.

4Enter the new PIN2 again when the phone displays Repeat New PIN2.

Caution: If you enter an incorrect SIM PIN2 three times in a row, the Pin2 Blocked message is displayed. You must enter a PIN2 unblocking key (PUK2) code, which you can obtain from your service provider.

When the PIN2 Blocked message is displayed, you are denied access to menu items that require you to enter the PIN2, such as setting up the Fixed Dial Menu and customizing the Call Cost Setup.

If you receive the PIN2 Blocked message when you try to enter your PIN2, use the following key sequence to unblock and change the PIN2:
