Server Properties—Transmission

TheTransmissionpageallowstheusertosetthe TransmissionMode andTx FIFOoptionsfor eachofNPortServerPro’sports.

Transmission Mode

Select Hi-Performancetousebuffering technologytoacceleratedatawriting.This allowsyourcommunicationsoftwareto reachmaximumdatathroughputwhen transmittinglargeamountsofdata.The driverwillnotifytheuserthatthe transmissioniscompletewhentheoutput datalengthislowerthantheLOW WATERsetting.

ClassicalMode letstheportbehavelikea genericCOMport.Transmissionofsmall datapacketsismorepreciseandreliable.In thiscase,thedriverwillnotifytheuserthat thetransmissioniscompletewhenalldata hasbeentransmitted.

Tx FIFO

SettoEnabletothegetthebestperformancefromtheboard.

SettoDisabletoavoiddatalosswhencommunicatingwithplaincommunicationdevicesusingS/W flowcontrol.InthiscaseonlyonebytewillbeputintotheUARTwhentheFIFOisempty.
