ConfiguringhowroutersaccesstheInternet

YoumustdefinehowyourrouteraccessestheInternetandhowtheroutercanprotectthenetworksand
devicesthatithosts.
TosetuptherouterforInternetaccess:
1. Fromthenavigationpane,selectAdministration,AccessConfiguration.TheAdministration:Access
Configurationpaneopens.
2. Toconfigurethewebserver,usetheWebServergroup.ThetopicConfiguringthewebserverexplains
howtoconfigurethewebserver.
3. ToconfigureSSH,usetheSSHgroup.ThetopicConfiguringSSHexplainshowtoconfigureSSH.
4. ToconfigureICMP,usetheICMPgroup.ThetopicConfiguringICMPexplainshowtoconfigureICMP.
5. Toallowtheroutertodefendagainstattacks,usetheIPdefensegroup.ThetopicConfiguringIPdefense
explainshowtoconfigureIPdefenseingreaterdetails.

ManagingYourDevicefromRemoteServer

Note:Thisfeatureisstillbeingdeveloped.Assuch,anticipatechangestohowdevicesareremotelymanaged.
ThisdevicecanbeconfiguredtoconnecttoaRemoteManagementServer.Itcanbemanagedandmonitored
throughMultiTech'sDeviceManagementPlatform,includingqueueingsoftwareandconfigurationupdates
forthedevice.
ToconfiguretheRemoteManagementfeature:
1. FromAdministration,selectRemoteManagement.
2. Setuptheremoteserver.
3. Todefinewhenthedeviceconnectstotheremoteserver,defineconnectivityoptions.
4. Todefinewhenthedevicegetsorsendsupdates,defineautoupdatesettings.

SettinguptheRemoteServer

1. ToallowthedevicetoconnecttotheRemoteManagementServer,checkthe"Enabled"box
2. Ifyouwantthedevicetouseasecureconnection,checkSSLEnabled.Thisfeaturemightbesupported
inafuturerelease.
3. TheServerNamefieldisprepopulatedwiththeaddressoftheRemoteManagementServer.
4. TheServerPortfieldisprepopulatedwiththeporttheRemoteManagementServerlistenson.You
likelydonotneedtochangethis.
5. IntheAccountIDfieldtypetheaccountkeyreceivedfromtheMultiTechRemoteManagement
Administrator.
ThedeviceisnotallowedtoconnecttotheRemoteManagementServerwithoutavalidaccountkey.
