1. Definea template that represents the part of the object that you want

to use asa reference feature. Formore information about defining a

template,see the Find Measurement P oints section.

2. Definea rectangular search area in which you expect to find the

template.

3. Usethe options parameter to select your options for finding the pattern

and theresults that you want to overlay onto the image. When setting

theMode element, select IMAQ_MATCH_ROTATION_INVARIANT when

you expectyour templat et o appearrotated i n the inspection images.

Otherwise,select IMAQ_MATCH_SHIFT_INVARIANT.Settheoptions

parameter to NULL to use the default options.

4. Choosethe mode for the function. To build a coordinate transform for

the firsttim e, set mode to IMAQ_FIND_REFERENCE.Toupdatethe

coordinate system in subsequentimages, set mode to

IMAQ_UPDATE_TRANSFORM.
