DMI Event Logging SubmenuMajor errors that occur during the BIOS booting process are stored in
battery-backedmemory on the controller, and remain there until you view
andclear them using this submenu. This logging capability allows a system
administratorto detect the historical occurrence of faults on a controller.
This submenu includes the following items:
•ViewDMI Event Log—This setting displays a window containing all
logged systemerrors and the time at which they occurred.
•Mark Events as Read—This setting preventsany current logged
entries frombeing displayed again. However, all entries remain in
battery-backedmem ory,and you can retrieve them using other DMI
softwarethat is beyond the scope of this document.
•ClearAll Events—When set to Yes, this setting clears all entries from
the DMI eventlog on reboot.
•EventLog ging—This setting controls whether eventsare logged.
Disabling logging has no impact on system performance. The default
is Enabled.
