3.2 Advanced Items

The gateway’s advanced configuration allows you to manage your gateway.

3.2.1 Advanced Setup > Access Control List

The Access Control List allows you to define Internet access rules for LAN users.

Field

Description

User Group

All LAN users can be defined and divided into

groups; each group can have different Internet access

behavior depending on your configuration. To define

the user group, click Define Group (see below.)

Application

Select the application from the pull down menu and

specify the services you want to offer or block to the

users. If you can not find the service you require,

click Define Application. (The Define Application

options are introduced below.)

Blocking Schedule

Rules can be applied using a defined schedule. The

radio button Always means the rules are running all

the time. “By schedule” means the rules are applied

to the times and days you define. Monday thru Sun-

day allows you to select the days that you want the

access control to be active. When an access control

rule is successfully added, it will be appended to the

list. Use the Delete or Delete all tabs to manage the

list.
