安裝或取下遮光罩時，請在其底部的 符號附近將其握住，並避免 握得太緊。若未正確安裝好遮光罩，則可能會產生邊暈。

不使用時，可將遮光罩反轉並固定在鏡頭上。當遮光罩被反轉時，在 鎖定標記（—¡）附近將其握住，然後透過旋轉即可安裝或取下遮光 罩。
