When you use an overlay feature on the TOOL menu, it is possible that not all character information may be read, depending on the file type.

If information is written in small characters and the image is saved in other than 1280*960 bmp format, some characters may be dropped. Use the appropriate file format when saving an image, according to the table shown below.

Outline Guide to Source (Photographing Mode) Settings

Select “s5M” for the source when picture quality is important.

If you select “2560*1920” in SIZE, the source is automatically changed to “s5M.”

Similarly, even if you have selected “s1.3M” for the source when the selected display mode is “5Mi” or “C.Scan,” the source is automatically changed to “s5M” when you photograph an image.

NOTE: You also can specify the source when saving an image from the REC menu.

HR: High resolution, with excellent delineation of fine detail.

HsL: High-sensitivity observation, permitting easy focus even of dark subjects.

HsC: High-sensitivity photographing, in which even dark subjects can be photographed as if brightly lit.

Lsp: Live speed, where the faster the speed is, the easier it is to adjust the focus. (The value indicates the number of frames per second.)

Rsp: Snapshot performance, where there is no time lag in freeze operation.

MvL: Moving-object observation, where even if the subject is moving, its observed image is free of color anomalies.

MvC: Moving-object photographing, where even if the subject is moving, its saved image is free of color anomalies.
