CNotes on Deletion

•Once deleted, pictures cannot be recovered. Transfer important images to a computer before deletion.

•Pictures marked with the sicon are protected and cannot be deleted.

Protect selected pictures from accidental deletion (Selecting Multiple Pictures →

A116).

Note, however, that formatting the camera’s internal memory or the memory card will permanently erase protected files (A131).

Protected pictures are recognized by the sicon (A7) in full-frame playback mode and the erase selected images screen, and by the aicon (A51) in four- picture or nine-picture thumbnail playback mode.

iHide Image

Use this setting to hide pictures during playback.

See “Selecting Multiple Pictures” (A116) for more information on using this function.

Hidden pictures cannot be deleted using the [Delete] option. Note, however, that formatting the internal memory or memory card (A131) will delete hidden pictures.
