C Note on Interval Timer Shooting

To prevent the camera from turning off unexpectedly during recording, use a fully charged battery.

To power the camera continuously for extended periods, use an AC Adapter EH-62A (available separately from Nikon) (A136). Do not, under any circumstances, use another make or model of AC adapter. Failure to observe this precaution could result in overheating or in damage to the camera.

Do not rotate the mode dial, while performing interval-timer shooting.
