By using the infrared communication port, data can be exchanged with- out a physical connection (e.g., using a cable or the cradle) between the CF-P1 and a host computer.

Position CF-P1 so that the infrared communication port is face-to-face with the port of a host computer.

Have the infrared port of the CF-P1 face the infrared communication port of a host computer.

We recommend a port to port distance of 30 cm {11.8"} or less.
