Taking Pictures with Auto Focus
By setting the optimu m Focus Mode or Auto Focus Mod e for the subject or recording
condition, you can let the camera automatically adjust focus in various scenes.
The method for achieving focus when the shutter button is
pressed halfway is set.
Set the focus mode lever to [AFS/AFF] or [AFC].

In [AFS/AFF] in the [Re c] menu or the [Motion Pictu re] menu, you can assign [AFS] or
[AFF] to [AFS/AFF] of th e focus mode lever.

In this mode, while the shutter button is pressed
halfway, focusing is constantly perf ormed to
match the movement of the subje ct. When the
subject is moving, the focu sing is performed by predict ing the subject
position at the time of recordi ng. (Movement prediction)
