Taking Pictures with Manual Focus

Use this function wh en you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens

and the subject is dete rmined and you do not wan t to activate Auto Focus.

1Set the focus mode lever to [MF].

2Press [].

3Press 3/4/2/1 to determine the area to be

enlarged, and press [MENU/SET].

•The assist screen i s displayed, enlarging the area. (MF Assis t) (P103)

•If you press [DISP.], the area to be enlarged will be reset to the center.

4Adjust the focus.

•You can check whether the point of focus is to the near

side or to the far side. (MF Guide) (P103)

You can perform the foll owing operations:

5Press the shutter button halfway.

•The assist screen will close. The recording screen will be displayed.

•You can also close the assist screen by pres sing [MENU/SET].

Applicable modes:

When using the interchangeable lens (H-HS12035) having a focus ring

Rotate to A side:

Focuses on nea rby subject

Rotate to B side:

Focuses on faraway subject

sEnlarges/reduces the scree n (by steps of 1.0k)

Switches the enlarged display (windowed/full screen)

Resets the area to be enlarged back to the center.
