Taking Pictures Automatically at Set Intervals
([Time Lapse Shot])
If you set the start tim e of recording, the rec ording interval and the nu mber of pictures, the
camera can aut omatically take pict ures of subjects su ch as animals or pl ants as time
elapses and create a motion picture.
Set the date and time setti ngs in advance. (P19)
Pictures taken with Time Lapse Shot ar e displayed as a set of group pictures.
1Set the drive mode dial to [ ].
2Press [MENU/SET].
The screen selected with [Time Lapse /Animation] in the
recording menu will be displayed. (The screen will be
displayed only when you press [MENU/SET] for the first
time after switching the drive mo de dial to [ ]. In other
cases, the camera operates as us ual, displaying the menu
screen.)
3Press [MENU/SET].
4Select [Mode] with 3/4, and the n press [MENU/SET].
5Select [Time Lapse Shot] with 3/4, and then press [ME NU/SET].
6Press 3/4 to select the item and then press [MENU/S ET].
7Press the shutter button halfway.
The recording screen will be displayed. You can also
perform the same operation by pressing and holding
[ ] until the recording screen is displayed.
Applicable modes:
[Start Time]
[Now] Starts the recording by fully-pressing the shutter button.
[Start Time
Set]
You can set the time to start recording.
Any time up to 23 hours 59 minute s ahead can be set.
Select the item (hour or minute) by pressing 2/1, set
the start time by pressing 3/4, and then press
[MENU/SET].

The recording interval and the number of pictures can be set.
2/1: Select the item (minute/second/number of pictures)
3/4: Setting
[MENU/SET]: Set
