Troubleshooting guide

Before requesting service, make the below checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem:

The following do not indicate a problem with the unit.

 

 

Sounds occurring periodically during disc rotation.

Video reception is poor due to adverse weather conditions.

Video becomes distorted during searching.

If the unit doesn’t switch to standby, press and hold [Í, DVD POWER] for about 10

Alternatively, disconnect the AC power supply cord, wait one minute, then reconnect it.

 

 

2.Press [Í, DVD POWER] to turn the unit on.

 

 

 

 

HDD activation is slow.

The HDD is in SLEEP mode. (“HDD SLEEP” appears in the unit’s display.)

Cannot eject disc or card.

You cannot remove the disc while playing/editing still pictures or SD VIDEO (MPEG4) pro-

 

grams. Press [RETURN] several times to exit the play/edit screen.

 

The unit may have a problem. With the power off, press and hold [] and [CHW] at the same

 

time on the main unit for about 5 seconds. Remove the disc and consult the dealer.
