Inserting/removing a disc

The cover of the disc compartment will not open unless the unit has a charged battery or is connected to the AC adaptor.

1Attach the battery or connect the AC adaptor.

2Slide the DISC EJECT lever up and release it.

A few moments after the ACCESS/PC lamp A blinks, the cover of the disc compartment will open slightly.

3Open the cover of the disc compartment and insert/remove the disc.

Inserting disc

Place the disc onto the spindle in the center and then push the disc down until it clicks into place.

BPickup lens (Reads disc) C Press until it clicks.

≥ Be careful not to touch the recording/playback side of the disc when inserting/removing it.

Removing disc

While pressing down on the spindle, grasp the edge of the disc and gently lift it out.

4Push the section marked

PUSH CLOSE on the cover of the disc compartment to close the cover.

≥When using new DVD-RAM or DVD-RW (l 27)

≥When inserting a disc recorded on another device or in another mode (l 27)

≥You cannot remove a disc while recording motion pictures on an SD card or in PRE-REC. (l 55)
