1 Connect an HDMI cab le (not supplied) to:
the HDMI jack on this product.
the HDMI input jack on t he TV.
Tip
If the TV has a DVI connec tor only, connec t via an HDMI/
DVI adaptor. Connect an a udio cable for so und output .
If there is a blank scre en under HDM I connection , on the
remote control pres s and then press “731” (numeric
buttons) to recover pic ture display.
If this product conn ects to a TV com patible with 10 80p
or 1080p/24Hz, Phi lips recommen ds HDMI categ ory 2
cable, also known a s High Speed HD MI cable, fo r optimal
video and audio outp ut.
To play the digital video im ages of a BD-vid eo or DVD-
video via an HDMI conn ection, it is n ecessary th at both
this product and th e display device (or a n AV receiver/
amplifier) suppor t a copyright pr otection sy stem called
HDCP (high-band width digit al content pr otection sy stem).
This type of connection provides best picture quality.

2 Connect the audio cables to:
the LINE OUT/AUDIO -L/R jacks on

Tip
The component video i nput jack on the T V might be
labeled as Y Pb Pr or YUV.

Select the best video connection that the TV can
support.

jacks (for a standard T V or Progressi ve Scan TV).
Option 3: Connect to the composite video
jack (for a standard T V).
