How do I reset Pronto NG?

Normally, resetting Pronto NG is not necessary. However, if Pronto NG’s touch screen freezes or if you notice unusual behavior, you need to perform a reset to get Pronto NG running again.

1Press the latch on the battery cover with your thumb and then slide the cover forward firmly.

2Lift off the battery cover.

You can find the Reset button in the battery compartment.

3Use an unfolded paperclip or a sharp pencil to carefully press the Reset button.

Pronto NG restarts.

Pronto NG beeps twice to indicate

 

it is ready for use.

4Set the time again. See ‘Changing the Time’ on page 12 for more information.

Note If you reset Pronto NG, all personal changes like saved and programmed commands, IR codes, timers and macros are retained.

Why does a device respond to some RF signals and not to others?

Not all commands for all devices work properly with RF signals.

If a device does not respond properly to RF signals sent out by Pronto NG, you have to reconfigure Pronto NG to operate the device with IR signals.
