Scanning tracks of a CD
Scanplay lets you hear the first 10 seconds of
eachtrack on the CD.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Scan.
Scanappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn scan play
on.
Scan:ON appears in the display. The first 10
secondsof each track is played.
3 Whenyou find the desired track press
Multi-Controlto turn scan play off.
Scan:OFF appears in the display. The track
willcontinue to play.
#Ifthe display has automatically returned to
theplayback display, select Scan again by using
Multi-Control.
Note
Afterscanning of a CD is finished, normal play-
backof the tracks will begin again.
Pausing CD playback
Pauselets you temporarily stop playback of
theCD.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Pause.
Pauseappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn pause on.
Pause:ON appears in the display. Play of the
currenttrack pauses.
#Toturn pause off, press Multi-Control
again.
Selecting the search method
Youcan switch the search method between
fastforward/reverse and searching every10
tracks.
1 UseMulti-Control to select FF/REV.
FF/REVappears in the display.
#Ifthe search method ROUGH SEARCH has
beenpreviously selected, ROUGH SEARCH will
bedisplayed.
2 PressMulti-Control to select the search
method.
PressMulti-Control until the desired search
methodappears in the display.
!FF/REVFast forward and reverse
!ROUGHSEARCH Searching every 10
tracks
Searching every 10 tracks inthe current disc
Ifa disc contains over 10 tracks, you can
searchevery 10 tracks. When adisc contains
alot of tracks, you can roughly search for the
trackyou want to play.
1 Selectthe search method

2 Pushand hold Multi-Control left or
rightto search every 10 tracks on a disc.
#Ifa disc contains less than 10 tracks, pushing
andholding Multi-Control right recalls the last
trackof the disc. Also, if the remaining number of
tracksafter searching every 10 tracks is less than
10,pushing and holding Multi-Control right re-
callsthe last track of the disc.
#Ifa disc contains less than 10 tracks, pushing
andholding Multi-Control left recalls the first
Built-in CD Player
