Switching the auxiliary setting
Itis possible to use auxiliar y equipment with
thisunit. Activate the auxiliar y setting when
usingauxiliary equipment connectedto this
unit.
1 UseMulti-Control to select AUX.
AUXappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn AUX on.
AUX:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn AUX off, press Multi-Control again.
Switching the dimmer setting
Toprevent the display from being too bright at
night,the display is automatically dimmed
whenthe car s headlights are turned on. You
canturn the dimmer on or off.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Dimmer.
Dimmerappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn dimmer on.
Dimmer:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn dimmer off, press Multi-Control
again.
Adjusting the brightness
Youcan adjust the display brightness. Initially
thismode is set to 12.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Brightness.
Brightnessappears in the display.
2 PushMulti-Control left or right to ad-
justthe brightness level.
Eachpushing Multi-Control left or right in-
creasesor decreases the brightness level. 0
15is displayed as the level is increased or
decreased.
Setting the rear output and
subwoofer controller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
putand RCA rear output) can be used for full-
rangespeaker (REAR SP:FULL) or subwoofer
(REARSP :S/W) connection. If you switch the
rearoutput setting to the REAR SP:S/W, you
canconnect a rear speaker lead directly to a
subwooferwithout using an auxiliar y amp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (REAR SP:FULL). When rear
outputis connected to full range speakers
(whenREAR SP:FULL is selected), you can
connectthe RCA subwoofer output to a sub-
woofer.In this case, you can select whether to
usethe subwoofer controller s (low pass filter,
phase)built-in PREOUT :S/W or the auxiliary
PREOUT:FULL.
1 UseMulti-Control to select REAR SP.
REARSP appears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to switch the rear
outputsetting.
PressingMulti-Control will switch between
REARSP :FULL (full-rangespeaker) and
REARSP :S/W (subwoofer)and that status will
bedisplayed.
#Whenno subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select REAR SP:FULL.
#Whena subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,set for subwoofer REAR SP:S/W.
