Repeating play
ForMP3/WMA/WAV playback, there are three
repeatplay ranges: FOLDER (folder repeat),
TRK(one-track repeat) and DISC (repeat all
tracks).
1 UseMulti-Control to select Repeat.
Repeatappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to select the repeat
range.
PressMulti-Control repeatedly until the de-
siredrepeat range appears in the display.
!FOLDERRepeat the current folder
!TRKRepeat just the current track
!DISCRepeat all tracks
Notes
!Ifyou select another folder during repeat play,
therepeat play range changes to DISC.
!Ifyou perform track search or fastforward/re-
verseduring TRK, the repeat play range
changesto FOLDER.
!WhenFOLDER is selected, it is not possible to
playback a subfolder of that folder.
Playing tracks in a random
order
Randomplay lets you play back tracks in a
randomorder within the repeat range,
FOLDERand DISC.
1 Selectthe repeat range.

2 UseMulti-Control to select Random.
Randomappears in the display.
3 PressMulti-Control to turn random
playon.
Random:ON appears in the display. Tracks
willplay in a random order within the pre-
viouslyselected FOLDER or DISC ranges.
#Toturn random play off, press Multi-Control
again.
Scanning folders and tracks
Whileyou are using FOLDER, the beginning of
eachtrack in the selected folder plays for
about10 seconds. When you are using DISC ,
thebeginning of the first trackof each folder
isplayed for about 10 seconds.
1 Selectthe repeat range.

2 UseMulti-Control to select Scan.
Scanappears in the display.
3 PressMulti-Control to turn scan play
on.
Scan:ON appears in the display. The first 10
secondsof each track of the currentfolder (or
thefirst track of each folder)is played.
4 Whenyou find the desired track (or
folder)press Multi-Control to turn scan
playoff.
Scan:OFF appears in the display. The track (or
folder)will continue to play.
#Ifthe display has automatically returned to
theplayback display, select Scan again by using
Multi-Control.
Note
Aftertrack or folder scanning is finished, normal
playbackof the tracks will begin again.
