Theseare the basic steps necessar y to play a
CDwith your built-in CD player. More ad-
vancedCD operation is explained starting on
thenext page.
1Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track currently playing.
2Disctitle indicator
Showsthe title of the currently playing disc.
!Ifno title has been entered for the cur-
rentlyplaying disc, nothing is displayed.
3Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack.
1 PressSOURCE to select the built-in CD
player.
PressSOURCE until you see Compact Disc
displayed.
#Ifno disc is loaded in the unit, you cannot se-
lectCompact Disc (built-in CD player). Insert a
discin the unit. (Refer to page 14.)
2 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pushand hold Multi-Control left or right.
#Ifyou select ROUGH SEARCH, pushing and
holdingMulti-Control left or right enables you to
searchevery 10 tracks in the current disc.(Refer
toSelecting the search method on page 22.)
3 Toskip back or forward to another
track,push Multi-Control left or right.
PushingMulti-Control right skips to the start
ofthe next track. Pushing Multi-Control left
onceskips to the start of the current track.
Pushingagain will skip to the previous track.
Note
Whena CD TEXT disc is inserted, the disc title
automaticallybegin to scroll in the display.
WhenEver Scroll is set to ON at the initial setting,
thedisc title scroll continuously. About Ever
Scroll,refer to Switching the Ever Scroll on page
56.
Selecting a track directly
Whenusing the remote control, you can select
atrack directly by entering the desired track
number.
!Youcannot operate this mode from func-
tiondisplay.
1 PressDIRECT.
Tracknumber input display appears.
2 PressNUMBER buttons to enter the de-
siredtrack number.
#Youcan cancel the input number by pressing
CLEAR.
3 PressDIRECT.
Thetrack of entered number willplay.
Note
Afterentering the number input mode, if you do
notperform an operation within about eight sec-
onds,the mode is automatically canceled.
