Scrollingtitles in the display

Thisunit can display the first 17 letters ofdisc
title,disc artist name, track title and track ar-
tistname. When the text information is longer
than17 letters, you can scroll the display as
follows.
%PressDISPLAY and hold until the title
beginsto scroll through the display.
Thetitles scroll.
Note
WhenEver Scroll is set to ON at the initial setting,
CDtext information scrolls continuously in the
display.If you want to display the first 17 charac-
tersof text information temporarily and scroll
fromthe beginning, press and hold DISPLAY.

Selecting tracks from the track

title list
Tracktitle list lets you see the list of track titles
ona CD TEXT disc and select one of them to
playback.
1 PressLIST to switch to the disc titlelist
modeduring the playback display.
#Ifyou want to display the track title list ofthe
currentlyplaying disc, push Multi-Control right.
2 UseMulti-Control to select the desired
disctitle of CD TEXT.
Turnto change the disc title; press to play.
#Youcan also change the disc title by pushing
Multi-Controlup or down.
#Ifno title has been entered for a disc,
NOTITLE will be displayed.
#NoDisc is displayed next to the disc number
whenthere is no disc in the magazine.
3 PushMulti-Control right to switch to
thetrack title list.
4 UseMulti-Control to select the desired
tracktitle.
Turnto change the track title; press to play.
#Youcan also change the track title by pushing

Using compression andbass emphasis
Youcan use these functions only with a multi-
CDplayer that supports them.
UsingCOMP (compression) and DBE (dy-
namicbass emphasis) functions lets you ad-
justthe sound playback quality of the multi-
CDplayer. Each of the functions has a two-
stepadjustment. The COMP function balances
theoutput of louder and softer sounds athigh-
ervolumes. DBE boosts bass levelsto give
playbacka fuller sound. Listen to each of the
effectsas you select them and use the one
thatbest enhances the playback of the track
orCD that you are listening to.
1 UseMulti-Control to select COMP.
COMPappears in the display.
#Ifthe multi-CD player does not support
COMP/DBE,No Comp. is displayed when you at-
temptto select it.
2 PressMulti-Control to select your favor-
itesetting.
