Adjusting bass and treble
Youcan adjust bass and treble settings.
!IfEQ-EX function has been selected and
EQ-EXturned on and CUSTOM selected as
theequalizer curve, you canadjust bass
andtreble settings.
!IfSFEQ has been set to FRT1, bass adjust-
mentaffects only the rear output: front out-
putcannot be adjusted.
!IfSFEQ has been set to FRT1 or FRT2, tre-
bleadjustment affects only the front out-
put:rear output cannot be adjusted.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Bass (bass
andtreble level adjustment).
Bassappears in the display.
#Ifthe treble level has been previously ad-
justed,Treble will be displayed.
2 PushMulti-Control left or right to select
bassor treble.
PushingMulti-Control left and Bass is dis-
played.Pusing Multi-Control right and Treble
isdisplayed.
3 PushMulti-Control up or down to ad-
justthe level.
Eachpushing Multi-Control up or down in-
creasesor decreases the selected bass or tre-
blelevel. +6 6is displayed as the level is
increasedor decreased.
4 TurnMulti-Control clockwise to select
Bass(bass and tleble frequency adjust-
ment).
Bassappears in the display.
#Ifthe treble frequency has been previously ad-
justed,Treble will be displayed.
5 PushMulti-Control left or right to select
thedesired frequency.
Eachpushing Multi-Control left or right se-
lectsfrequencies in the following order:

Adjusting loudness
Loudnesscompensates for deficiencies in the
low-and high-sound ranges at low volume.
1 UseMulti-Control to select Loud.
Loudappears in the display.
2 PressMulti-Control to turn loudness
on.
Loudnesslevel (e.g., Loud MID) appears in
thedisplay.
