Projecting without an attached monitor

Some display cards rely on sense-line information from the monitor to configure themselves for the correct display res- olution. The absence of sense-line information causes some display cards to output a default video signal and actually prevents some video cards from outputting video at all.

If you connect the projector to a computer without a moni- tor, turn on your system and check to see if the display reso- lution is acceptable. If it is not, you need to set the sense lines to make the projector emulate a monitor (see Appen- dix C: Sense lines).

1Disconnect your computer-to-monitor cable at the computer end.

2Connect the free end of the monitor cable to the VGA OUT connector on the projector.

3Use the Polaview VGA-to-LCD connector cable (part number C800-6) to link the projector to the computer. Connect the end of the cable marked LCD to the projector COMPUTER IN connector, and the end marked COMPUTER to the comput- er video output connector.
