Adjusting the audio

	You can adjust the volume from the remote control, the
	control panel, or the menus. The Audio menu contains addi-
	tional audio controls.
Displaying and hiding	You can display a volume indicator while you increase or
the volume indicator	decrease the volume of the internal speakers. To display the
	volume indicator, choose Preferences, On-Screen, Display.
	To suppress this visual indicator, set On-Screen to Hide.
Adjusting the volume	To adjust the volume of the internal speakers and any exter-
	nal speakers you connect, press the + or - VOLUME key on
	the remote control or control panel. You can also make
	adjustments through the Audio menu.
Muting the audio	To mute the audio, press the MUTE key on the remote con-
	trol, or choose Mute from the Audio menu.
	To turn the sound back on, press the MUTE key a second
	time or choose Mute, Normal from the Audio menu.
Adjusting bass	To adjust the level of bass or treble, choose the
and treble	corresponding command on the Audio menu, then move
	the slide bar in the appropriate direction.
Adjusting fade	The fade slider allows you to choose between the internal
and balance	speakers in your projector and an external loudspeaker sys-
	tem like the Polaview loudspeaker system (part number
	A55). The balance slider allows you to control the level of
	sound from the left and right sides of your sound system.
	To adjust the fade and balance, choose the corresponding
	command on the Audio menu, then move the slide bar in
	the appropriate direction.
Adjusting the volume	To increase or decrease the volume of the microphone,
of the microphone	choose Mic. Volume from the Audio menu, then move the
	slide bar in the appropriate direction.
Switching between	To switch between stereo and monaural mode, choose
stereo and monaural	Audio mode from the Audio menu, then choose the
mode	appropriate setting.
