Creating a Master Configuration File
To create a master configuration file:
1.Create a master configuration file by using the 000000000000.cfg file from the distribution as a template.
For example, create 0004f2be80a6.cfg
2.Add contents to the master configuration file. For example:
Warning The order of the configuration files listed in CONFIG_FILES is significant:
•The files are processed in the order listed (left to right).
•The same parameters may be included in more than one file.
This provides a convenient means of overriding the behavior of one or more phones without changing the baseline configuration files for an entire system.
Downloading the New Configuration
To download the new configuration to the phones:
1.To reboot the phones, press the Menu key, and select Settings >
Advanced > Reboot Phone...
When prompted, enter the administrator password and press the Enter soft key.
The phone will reboot. The following messages will appear on the screen:
—Waiting for network to initialize
—Downloading new application
—Checking new application
—Saving new application
—Checking new application
