Shooting with a Set Aperture Value and Shutter Speed

(M: Manual Exposure Mode)

Setting the mode dial to M (manual exposure mode) allows you to manually set the aperture value and shutter speed.

You can select from the following shutter speeds.

Depending on the aperture value, some shutter speeds may not be available.

Faster shutter speeds allow you to capture a sharp image of a fast- moving subject. Slower shutter speeds allow you to capture an image with a flowing effect and emphasize the movement of the subject.

Use the up-down dial to set the aperture value. Use the ADJ. lever to set the shutter speed.

The mode symbol appears on the picture display, and the current aperture value, shutter speed, and exposure value indicator are displayed on the right edge of the screen.
