MANTENIMIENTO

nDespués de cada cinco horas de funcionamiento limpie el filtro en agua jabonosa tibia, enjuáguelo y déjelo secar por completo. Reemplace el filtro con uno nuevo después de cada 25 horas de uso.

NOTA: Un método alternativo es limpiar el filtro con aire comprimido. Siempre póngase protección para los ojos para evitar lesiones oculares.

nVuelva a instalar el filtro de aire, asegurándose de que las orejetas del filtro de aire queden en los canales de la parte inferior del filtro antes de apretar los tornillos de retención del filtro.

nLimpie el prefiltro cada 5 horas de uso, o con mayor frecuencia, según sea necesario. Retire la tapa del cilindro, la unidad del arrancador y el deflector del alojamiento del ventilador, para tener acceso al prefiltro, en el alojamiento del motor. NOTA: Si utiliza una manguera de aire para secar el filtro, sople con la misma a través de ambos lados del filtro.

PRECAUCIÓN:

Asegúrese de que el filtro de aire esté colocado correctamente en la tapa correspondiente antes de volver a montarlos en la sierra. Nunca accione el motor sin el filtro de aire, ya que puede resultar dañado seriamente el motor.

LIMPIEZA DE LA UNIDAD DEL ARRANCADOR

Con un cepillo o con aire comprimido, mantenga los respiraderos de enfriamiento de la unidad del arrancador despejados y libres de basura.

AJUSTE DEL CARBURADOR

Vea la figura 65 y 66.

Antes de ajustar el carburador:

nCon un cepillo o aire comprimido limpie las aberturas de ventilación de la tapa del arrancador.

nLimpie el filtro de aire. Consulte el apartado Limpieza del filtro de aire de la sección Mantenimiento de este manual.

nPermita que se caliente el motor antes de ajustar la velocidad de marcha lenta.

ADVERTENCIA:

Las condiciones del tiempo y la altitud pueden afectar la carburación. No permita la presencia de personas cerca de la motosierra mientras ajusta el carburador.

Ajuste de marcha lenta — El ajuste de marcha lenta sirve para controlar qué tan abierta permanece la válvula del acelerador cuando se suelta el gatillo del mismo. Para ajustar:

nGire a la derecha el tornillo de marcha lenta “T” si desea aumentar la misma.
