Achten Sie darauf, dass für einen ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb des Systems das Festplattengehäuse einrastet und der Wechselrahmen verriegelt ist. Das Gerät kann die Festplatte erst erkennen, wenn der Wechselrahmen verriegelt ist.

Beim Entnehmen der Festplatte muss so lange gewartet werden, bis die Betriebsanzeige der Festplatte erlischt. Soll die Festplatte ausgewechselt werden, muss das Gerät aus- geschaltet sein. Wird die Festplatte bei eingeschaltetem Gerät ausgewechselt, kann es zur Funktionsstörung oder Beschädigung der Festplatte kommen.

Wenn Sie eine Festplatte aus einem anderen Gerät verwenden möchten, achten Sie darauf, diese vor Gebrauch auf einem PC zu formatieren. Ohne vorherige Formatierung funktioniert das System u. U. nicht ordnungsgemäß. Für den SCR-3000 empfehlen sich die Festplatten Samsung Spinpoint SV0802N und SEAGATE Barracuda 7200.7 80G.
