General precautions

œUse the nickel metal hydride batteries supplied with the digital camera. Manganese batteries cannot be used, as they have a short battery life and may overheat, causing damage to the digital camera.

œDo not use a recharged battery together with a discharged battery. Do not use nickel metal hydride batteries together with Ni-Cd batteries, or batteries of different types or different brands at the same time.

œMake sure not to invert the polarity ((+) and (–)) when installing the batteries. Install the batteries as described by the indicated polarity.

œUse of different types of batteries at the same time may generate heat or cause the batteries to leak, resulting in fire, injury or burns, or damage to the digital camera and any other nearby object.

œUse only specified batteries. Use of batteries without protective casings or other inferior products may cause a fire, injury, or burns.

œThe batteries may be warm immediately after the digital camera is used. If removing the batteries, turn off the digital camera and allow the batteries to cool down before removing them.

œIf a battery is leaking and the electrolyte gets on your skin or clothing, immediately rinse with clean water. If the electrolyte gets into your eyes, you risk losing your eyesight. Immediately rinse your eyes with clean, running water, and seek medical attention right away.

œDo not drop or hit the batteries, or submit them to strong shocks.

œIf the digital camera is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries and store them in a cool place. (When the batteries are

removed for a long period, the time and date settings will be cleared.)

œWhen disposing of the batteries, make sure to follow all applicable

regulations.

œ If used in temperatures below 10°C, the service life of the batteries will be shorter than normal.

œ Always read the instruction manuals that may come with the batteries you purchase before use.

The AZ1E model, in particular, stands out for its robustness and versatility, which makes it an ideal companion for both casual photographers and travel enthusiasts.

One of the key features of these models is their 8-megapixel CCD sensor, which captures images with impressive clarity and detail. The camera supports a variety of resolutions, allowing users to choose the perfect size for their needs, from printing larger photos to sharing online. In addition, the VPC-AZ1E offers a powerful 3x optical zoom lens, enabling users to get closer to their subjects without sacrificing image quality.

Both cameras are equipped with a bright, LCD screen that allows for easy framing and review of shots. An array of scene modes are available, including portrait, landscape, and night modes, which optimize camera settings and enhance image quality according to different shooting conditions.

Sanyo's incorporation of advanced image stabilization technology in the AZ1E and AZ1 minimizes the effects of camera shake, making it easier to capture clear images, particularly in low-light situations. This feature is particularly beneficial for users who may not have steady hands or when shooting without a tripod.
