CAUTION

If the auto rotate playback function does not work...

œThe auto rotate playback function uses the gravity exerted on the camera when the image was captured [page 59] to record the image orientation data. For this reason, when an image is captured with the lens pointed downward, for example, the image orientation data may not be recorded. When the image orientation data is correctly recorded, it is indicated by an arrow above the focus icon that appears when the image is focussed. To take advantage of the auto rotate playback function, confirm that an arrow appears above the focus icon when you are capturing the image.

VPC-AZ1, VPC-AZ1E specifications

The Sanyo VPC-AZ1E and VPC-AZ1 are compact digital cameras designed to cater to photographers who seek high-quality imaging in a small, portable form. The AZ1E model, in particular, stands out for its robustness and versatility, which makes it an ideal companion for both casual photographers and travel enthusiasts.

One of the key features of these models is their 8-megapixel CCD sensor, which captures images with impressive clarity and detail. The camera supports a variety of resolutions, allowing users to choose the perfect size for their needs, from printing larger photos to sharing online. In addition, the VPC-AZ1E offers a powerful 3x optical zoom lens, enabling users to get closer to their subjects without sacrificing image quality.

Both cameras are equipped with a bright, LCD screen that allows for easy framing and review of shots. The screen also facilitates menu navigation and access to a wide range of settings, making it user-friendly. An array of scene modes are available, including portrait, landscape, and night modes, which optimize camera settings and enhance image quality according to different shooting conditions.

Sanyo's incorporation of advanced image stabilization technology in the AZ1E and AZ1 minimizes the effects of camera shake, making it easier to capture clear images, particularly in low-light situations. This feature is particularly beneficial for users who may not have steady hands or when shooting without a tripod.

In terms of video capabilities, the VPC-AZ1E supports 720p HD video recording, allowing users to capture high-definition video clips with sound. This adds to the camera's versatility, making it suitable for not just still photography but also for videography.

The Sanyo cameras also come with various connectivity options, including USB and AV outputs, which facilitate easy transfer of files to a computer or TV. These models typically feature internal storage, along with an SD card slot for expanding storage capacity.

In summary, the Sanyo VPC-AZ1E and VPC-AZ1 offer an impressive combination of features, including a high-resolution sensor, optical zoom, image stabilization, and HD video capture. Their compact design and intuitive interface make them excellent choices for users seeking quality performance in a versatile digital camera.
