For UL compliance the maximum surrounding air temperature for 750 W inverters
is 40 ºC and 50 ºC for all other inverters.

Altitude
If the inverter is to be installed at an altitude > 1000 m or > 2000 m above sea
level, derating will be required.
Figure 2-3 below shows the permissible rated input voltages and outpu t current for
inverter installations from 500 m to 4000 m above sea level.
