SNMP Configuration
ToconfigureyourRaventoworkasanSNMPagent,youcan
useeitherAceManager,oraterminalconnectiontoconfigure
themodemusingATcommands.InAceManager,theSNMP
commandsareallpartoftheOthergroupundertheCommon
group.
ThereareonlythreecommandstosetforSNMPintheRaven:
thelisteningport,thesecuritylevel,andthetrapdestination.

Listening Port

*SNMPPORTsetstheportfortheSNMPagenttolistenon.Ifset
tozero,default,SNMPisdisabled.
Tip: SNMP generally uses port 161, however most Internet providers
(including cellular) block all ports below 1024 as a security measure.
You should be able to use a higher numbered port such as 10161.

Security Level

*SNMPSECLVLsetsthesecuritylevelandwhichversionof
SNMPcommunicationsareused.
0‐Nosecurityrequired.SNMPv2candSMNPv3commu
nicationsareallowed.
1‐Authenticationrequired.SNMPv3isrequiredtodo
authenticationandSNMPv2ctransmissionswillbesilently
discarded.AuthenticationisequivalenttotheauthNoPriv
settinginSNMPv3.
2‐Authenticationrequiredandmessagesareencrypted.
SNMPv3isrequiredtodoauthentication.SNMPv2cand
SNMPv3authNoPrivtransmissionswillbesilently
discarded.Authenticationandencryptionisequivalentto
theauthPrivsettinginSNMPv3.
