CORDED BUTTONHOLES

Hook filler cord (crochet thread or buttonhole twist) to the spur and pull both ends of the cord forward under the guide.

Sew buttonhole so that zig-zag stitches cover the cord.

When completed, release the cord from foot, pull ends of cord forward and snip off extra length.

OJALES CON CORDON

Enganchar el cordón de relleno al saliente de la guía y estirar ambos extremos del cordón hacia adelante, por debajo de la guía. Coser el ojal de forma que las puntadas de zig-zag cubran el cordón.

Cuando se haya terminado, soltar el cordón, tirar hacia adelante de los extremos y cortar el sobrante.

BOUTONNIÈRES AVEC FIL DE PASSE (RENFORCEES)

Accrocher le cordonnet (fil de passe ou fil de soie) à l’avant du pied pour boutonnière et tirer les deux extrémitès sous le pied.

Coudre la boutonnière de manière à ce que la zig-zag recouvre le cordonnet.

La boutonnière terminée, détacher le cordonnet du pied, tirer les bouts vers l’avant et tailler la longueur supplémentaire.

Sewing a Button

Drop feed dogs and select zigzag stitch.

Position your fabric and button under the presser foot. Lower presser foot, adjust your stitch width to 0 and sew a few securing stitches. Set stitch width between 3 and 5. Turn the handwheel to make sure needle clears both left and right openings of button. Adjust width if required. Sew 10 stitches across. Set stitch width back to 0 and sew a few securing stitches.

If a shank is required, place a darning needle on top of the button and sew over top of it.

Combie el prensatelas al especial para coser botones. Seleccione el dibujo en zig-zag.

Coloque la labor bajo el prensatelas. Coloque el botón en la posición deseada, baje el prensatelas, ajuste el ancho de la puntada a 0 y cosa unas pocas puntadas de fijación.

Ajuste el ancho de la puntada a 3 - 5. Gire el volante para comprobar que la aguja entra limpiamente en los agujeros derecho e izquierdo de botón (ajuste el ancho de la puntada) y cosa lentamente el botón con unas 10 puntadas.
