For best reception, your Magnetic Mount Antenna should have an unobstructed view of the SIRIUS satellites.. In large cities, terrestrial transmitters (ground repeaters) help increase the signal coverage..
Your Starmate 5 can display the received strength of the satellite and terrestrial signals being received..
To display the signal strength:
1Press menu..
2Press the Down button to scroll and highlight Signal Indicator and press the Select button..
3The Satellite and Terrestrial
bars show the strength of the signal being received..
4 Reposition the antenna if you are having trouble getting a signal.. Be sure your vehicle is
outside with an unobstructed view of the sky..
5Press and hold menu to exit..
