16. CORD WRAP

17. RIP FENCE

Exclusive Self-Aligning, Quick-Set rip fence can be easily moved or locked in place by simply raising or lowering lock handle.(Fig. 35)

Holes are provided in the rip fence for attaching a wood facing AA Fig. 33). Wood facing should be used when making cuts using dado blades, or ripping thin materials.

Select a piece of smooth straight wood AA approx. 3/4" thick and the same size as the rip fence.

Attach it to the fence with two round head No. 10 wood screws CC 1-5/8" long (Fig. 33).

If you are making a rip type cut in thinner materials, the facing should be attached to the fence so that the bottom edge touches the top surface of the table. In this situation, the facing must be lower than the fence. This will prevent thin material from sliding under the rip fence.

When positioning fence for maximum rip cutting (without table extension), make sure side of fence housing is even with the side edge of the table. Do not make rip cuts or dado cuts beyond this position because the fence can not be properly locked. Maximum rip cut capacity is 19 inches.

18. BLADE GUARD

Protects the operator, and must always be in place and working properly for all thru-sawing cuts. That is all cuts whereby the blade cuts completely through the workpiece. (Fig. 35)

19. TABLE SAW INSERT PLATE

Is removable for removing or installing blade or other cutting tools. (Fig. 35)

!For your own safety, turn table saw switch WARNING “OFF” and remove plug from power source

before removing the table saw insert.

To remove the insert:

A. Lower the blade below the table surface. B. Raise blade guard.

C. Remove insert screws and lift insert from pocket in table.

!WARNING Never operate the saw without the proper table saw insert (18) in place. Use the table

saw insert provided with the saw for standard blades and the dado insert (optional) when dado cutting.
