Setting Up a New Sonos System

Follow the step-by-step instructions to ensure that you set up your Sonos® Digital Music System correctly. These steps are fully explained in the pages that follow.

•If you experience any difficulty during the setup process, see "Tips and Trouble- shooting" on page A-1for additional help.

•The first ZonePlayer or ZoneBridge you set up should connect to your home net- work using a standard Ethernet cable (supplied).

1.Connect a Sonos component to your broadband router (with supplied Ethernet cable).

2.Place the ZonePlayers in the rooms where you want to play music, and connect the appropriate cables.

Install the software and follow the prompts to add the Sonos components, and set up access to your music files.

Note: When prompted, be sure to allow the system to check for updates as this will ensure that you set up your music system using the latest software release.

Also, your music system must be registered in order to receive software updates and music service trials, so please be sure to register during the setup process. We do not share your email address with other companies.

3.Add the handheld Sonos Controller to your music system.
