Uninstalling

If you wish to remove the Desktop Controller software from your Macintosh computer, choose Uninstall Sonos from the Sonos menu, and then drag the application to the trash. The Sonos Digital Music System will no longer be able to access music from this computer.

Firewall Information

The Sonos Digital Music System is designed to work with existing firewall software. Follow the steps below to see if your firewall allows access to the Sonos Digital Music System.

1.Open the System Preferences window.

2.Select the Sharing icon, and then select the Firewall tab.

3.If the message “Firewall Off” is displayed, your Sonos Digital Music System will be recognized and you do not have to do anything further. Select Continue.

4.If the message “Firewall Off” does not display, you must add access to the ports your ZonePlayers will use.

Mac OS X’s built-in firewall for 10.3

The Sonos Digital Music System is fully compatible with the Mac OS X firewall.

1.Open the System Preferences window.

2.From the Internet & Network settings, select Sharing.

3.To access music stored on your computer, check Windows Sharing and select Start from the Services tab.

4.From the Firewall tab, select New...

If the New button is disabled, click the lock at the bottom of the window and enter an administrator's password.

5.From the pull-down port name, select Other.
