Front Panel Parts Description

!§ The following buttons operate the built-in tuner. For details, see “Receiving Broadcasts” starting from page 41.

PRESET TUNING +/– buttons

Scans all preset stations.

SHIFT button

Selects a memory page for preset stations.

FM/AM button

Selects the FM or AM band.

TUNING/PTY SELECT +/– buttons

Scans all the available radio stations.

Selects program types during PTY operations.

FM MODE button

If “STEREO” flashes in the display and the FM stereo reception is poor, press this button. You will not have the stereo effect but the sound is improved.

MEMORY button

Press to memorize a preset station.

!• LEVEL button

Press to activate the speaker level parameters (page 37). The indicator on the button lights up and you can adjust the various speaker level parameters (front balance, rear balance, etc.).

SUR button

Press to activate the surround parameters (page 36). The indicator on the button lights up and you can adjust the various surround parameters (effect level, wall type, etc.).

EQ button

Press to activate the equalizer parameters (page 38). The indicator on the button lights up and you can adjust the various equalizer parameters.

Cursor buttons ( / )

Press to select various speaker level, surround, and equalizer parameters (etc.).

@™ Jog dial

Turn to adjust the selected speaker level, surround, and equalizer parameters (etc.).

SET UP button

Press to activate the setup mode, then use the cursor buttons (@¡) to select any of the following indications. You can then make various settings using the jog dial (@™).
