Using the Radio Data System (RDS)1Tune in a preset FM RDS station so that the RDS indicator lights up.2Press EON repeatedly to select the type of the program to be tuned in.

Each time you press the EON button, the indication for the type of the program lights up alternately as shown below.

TA (Traffic Announcement)

v NEWS (News)

v

INFO (Information program)

v

OFF (No indication lights up.)

After selecting the type of the program, you can select any other component.

When the receiver automatically tunes in the program, the indication that you’ve selected in Step 2 flashes in the display.

To stop listening to the program

Press EON during program reception. The indication that you’ve selected in Step 2 lights up and the receiver switches back to the program source or the station you were listening to.

To turn off the EON function

Press EON repeatedly in Step 2 above so that no program type indication lights up in the display.

Notes

After selecting the type of the program, if you tune in an AM station, the program type indicator turns off and the receiver will no longer tune in the program.

Be sure to turn off the EON function when you want to record a program without interruptions, especially when doing timer- activated recording.

“Weak Signal” appears in the display when the signal of the program is weak.
