Accessing the Drive Bays

SCSI Drives: You do not need to access the inside of the chassis to replace or swap SCSI drives. Proceed to the next step for instructions.

Note: You must use standard 1" high, 80-pin SCA SCSI drives in

the SuperServer 6012L-6.

CD-ROM/Floppy Disk Drive: For installing/removing the CD-ROM or floppy disk drive, you will need to gain access to the inside of the 6012L-6 by removing the top cover of the chassis. Proceed to the "CD-ROM and Floppy Drive Installation" section in this chapter for instructions.
