SATA Connections (I-SATA0~I-SATA5)

Eight Serial ATA (SATA) 3.0 connectors (I-SATA 0~5, A-SATA 0/1) are supported on the board. The I-SATA 3.0 ports are supported by the Intel Z87 PCH chip (supports RAID 0,1,5,10) while the A-SATA 3.0 ports are provided by the ASMedia SATA Con- troller. These Serial Link connections provide faster data transmission than legacy Parallel ATA. See the table on the right for pin definitions.
