Note

Only tables for users selected in the Filter Objects by Owner dialog appear in the Extract Database wizard. If you wish to view tables belonging to a particular database user, right-click the database you are unloading, choose Filter Objects by Owner from the popup menu, and then select the desired user in the resulting dialog.

To extract a remote database from a running database (Sybase Central)

1.Connect to the database.

2.Right-click the database and choose Extract Database from the popup menu.

3.Follow the instructions in the wizard.

To extract a remote database from a database file or a running database (Sybase Central)

1.In the left pane, select the Adaptive Server Anywhere plug-in.

2.In the right pane, click the Utilities tab.

3.In the right pane, double-click Extract Database.

4.Follow the instructions in the wizard.

The extraction utility

Purpose

To extract a remote Adaptive Server Anywhere database from a consolidated

 

Adaptive Server Enterprise or Adaptive Server Anywhere database.
