SQLRemote renames the output ﬁle to

yymmddxx.dbr

(fordbremote) and

yymmddxx.ss

r(for ssremote) where xx are sequential characters ranging

fromAA to ZZ, and

yymmdd

representsthe current year, month, and date.

Ifthe Message Agent us running in continuous mode for a long time, this

optionallows you to manually delete old log ﬁles and free up disk space.

–ot Truncatethe log ﬁle and then append output messages to it. Defaultis

tosend output to the screen.

–q ForWindowing operating systems only, starts the Message Agent with

aminimized window.

–ud OnUNIX platforms, you can run the SQL Remote Open Server as a

daemonby supplying the -ud option.

Ifyou run as a daemon, you must also supply the -o or -ot option, to log

outputinformation.

–v Verboseoutput. This option displays the SQL statements contained in

themessages to the screen and, if the -o option is used, to a log ﬁle.
