Power SwitchThe power switch is located under the control panel on
the left hand side of the unit. W hen placed in the ON
position, the power switch allows Softech panel
operation.
Indicator LightsMix Low -- When the MIX LOW light begins to flash,
it indicates the mix hopper has a low supply of mix and
should be refilled as soon as possible. The word
“LOW” will also display on the LCD indicator next t o the
word “MIX”.
Mix Out --W hen the MIX OUT light begins to flash, it
indicates the mix hopper has been almost completely
exhausted and has an insufficient supply of mix to
operate the freezer. The word “OUT” will also display
on the LCD indicator next to the word “MIX”. At this
time the AUTO mode is locked out andthe freezer will
be placed in the STANDBY mode. To initiate the
refrigeration system, add mix to the mix hopper and
presst he AUTO keypad. The freezer will automat ically
begin operation.
Heat Mode --When t he HEATMODE light isflashing,
it indicates that the freez er is in the process of a heat
cycle.
Clean Manually --When the CLEA N MANUALLYlight
is flashing, it indicates that the machine must be
disassembled and brush cleaned within 24 hours.
When all four indicator lights ar e flashing, this signifies
a locked condition. When MIX LOW and MIX OUT
lights are flashing only, this signifies an unlocked
condition.
Flavor Selector KeypadFour shake flavors are offered from t he Model PH90
freezer: chocolate, strawberry, vanilla (unflavored
product), and an optional flavor. Press the desired
shake flavor keypad and open the draw valve. Produc t
and syrup will automatically blend to produce the
chosen flavor.
Liquid Crystal DisplayLocated on the front control panel is t he Liquid Crystal
Display (LCD). The LCD is used to show what mode
of operation the freezer is in and whether or not there
is sufficient mix.
Heater SwitchThe heater switch is locat ed under the control panel on
the right hand side of the unit. When placed in t he ON
position, the heater switch controls power t o the
heated syrup topping rail.
Reset MechanismThe reset buttons are located in the syrup
compartment, behind the syrup tanks. T here is one for
each side of the freezer.
The reset mechanism protects the beat er motor from
an overload condition. Should an overload occur, the
reset mechanism will trip. Toproperly r eset the freezer,
place the power switch in the OFF position. Press the
reset button firmly.Turn the power switch to the ON
position. Clear the fault. Press the WASH keypad and
observe the freezer’s performance. O pen the side
access panel to check if the beater motor is t urning the
drive shaft in a clockwise (from the operator end)
direction without binding.
Don ot use metal objects to p ress the reset
button. Failure to follow this instruction may
result in electrocution.
If it is turning properly, press the WASH keypad to
cancel the cycle. Press the AUTO keypad on both
sides of the machine to resume normal operation. If
the freezer shuts down again, contact service
technician.
