Toinstall the TekConnect Probe Interface Module Extender Cable into the front
panel of the sampling oscilloscope, performthe following tasks:
CAUTION. Toprevent damag et o the sampling module, never install or remove a
module when the sampling oscilloscopeis powered on or when either input
connector is leftunprotected. Follow the precautions described in your sampling
module and oscilloscopemanuals to avoid damage.
1. Turnoff the sampling oscilloscope using the front-panel On/Standby switch.
2. Install the TekConnectProbe Interface Module Extender Cable connector
into any of the smallsampling module compartments on the front panel of
the sampling oscilloscope. See Figure 3.
3. Push the module in slowly with firm pressureto seat it.
4. Tighten the hold-down screw to hold the connector in p lace. Toremov et he
connectorlater, loosen the hold-down screw and slide the ejector lever.
NOTE. Installing a largesampling module into a large compartment of the
sampling oscilloscope may disable channels on a small module already
installed. Refer to the documentation for the sampling oscilloscope about
compartment interaction.
