All installations and services must be performed by qualified service personnel.

b.Leak test all field gas piping connections.

c.Check the tubing to the pressure switch to make sure it is snug and completely seated on the pressure tap.

d.Check to see that the vent terminal is correctly installed and the terminal openings are clear and free from blockage.

e.Make sure the air filter is in place and relatively clean of dirt and debris.

f.Make sure the thermostat is set in the heating mode of operation.

This appliance does not have a pilot light. It is equipped with a hot surface igniter that automatically lights the burner. Do not attempt to light the burner by hand.

BEFORE OPERATING smell all around the appliance area for gas. Be sure to smell next to the ground because some gas is heavier than air and will settle on the ground.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS

Do not try to light any appliance.

Do not touch any electric switch; do not use any phone in your building.

Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions.

If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department.

Use only your hand to operate the gas control valve knob or, if equipped, the gas control valve switch. Never use tools. If the knob or lever will not move, don’t try to repair it, call a qualified service technician. Forced or attempted repair may result in a fire or explosion.

Do not use this appliance if any part has been under water. Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect the appliance and to replace any part of the control system and any gas control that has been under water.
